Creative Numbers Versus Apple Numbers

We got some flack for our “What the heck was Creative thinking?” episode. We meant what we said.

DAP Review reports some interesting numbers Apple versus Creative.

Creative Labs, who were expected to be at a loss this business quarter, actually scored a profit of $ 8.2 million, which while an improvement over last quarter, is down from $ 11.84 million at the same time last year.

Creative sold 2.6 million Mp3 players during the October-December time period. Maybe not much when Apple sold 14 million iPods during the same span…

So, the gap between #1 and #2 gets bigger and bigger.
