So, let’s review what this means big picture:
Microsoft (the company) doesn’t think Podcasting is important enough to even try to include it (in any form) with a product release so far off that they don’t even have a release date.
Microsoft (the marketing end) is using Podcasts to market the very company that doesn’t think the medium is important.
