For those of you who have heard of the YouTube live option, the idea is exciting. Let’s take a look at what this means. YouTube has built an element that let’s you broadcast live to your YouTube audience.
At this point in time, the option is open to a small, select group of YouTube partners, and the future of the program is still unknown. In fact, YouTube has said nothing about it over the last six months.
Why has YouTube stayed silent about the live option? Because it has tightly integrated Google hangouts (which are part of GooglePlus) with YouTube channels. All users have the ability to log into their GooglePlus accounts, have a hangout, and share the hangout with their audience (anybody on the continental U.S., and potentially worldwide) as a video streaming live on their YouTube channel.
